UP AND AWAY
Sam and Chris (our pilot) with Marty - I
Well up up
and away once again but longer trip this
time as I had to stop off in Guernsey
originally to deliver a dog but
unfortunately also to pick one up that
was to be returned. Also one for Jersey.
Set off in
cloudy but thankfully windless weather up
to Peterborough once again to pick up two
black beauties, Sam and Marty, two
Brambleberry boys. Sam a three year old
and Marty not two until next month. I was
scared still I was going to get them
mixed up but Sam who has now gone to live
with Saffi and her mum Marilyn had a
distinct characteristic, silly ears!!
there as usual but her partner Jo is
seriously ill so it is very difficult
time for her, looking after her kennels
with 100 dogs, and toing and froing to
the hospital every day but being the
lovely lady she is still managed to
deliver the dogs to us.
It was cold
in Peterborough even though we only get
off the plane and straight into the
building. Chris and I have our bacon
butties and a cuppa then it is time to
depart once again.
straight to sleep on the plane, Sam was a
little worried but settled in the end.

another little rescue who had just flown
We got to
Guernsey about 2.30, Michael was there
with Blue and Monty, they are such fine
looking dogs and it was nice to see them
all. Saffi and her mum soon arrived and
after the 'photoshoot' took their boy
home to start his new life.
with his two Blue on the left Monty on
the right and new boy Sam in the front
arrived sadly his owners have given him
up after a year and a half. He is a bit
of a woos but so gentle, didn't want to
get on the plane so it was a big heave
one of the Sanctuary gang
been steaming up the plane windows whilst
we were gone and adding his nose art to
them. They both settled and in no time at
all we were in Jersey. Sarah and Carl
were there to meet their new arrival and
took him home to start his new life.

trip under my belt was so lucky once
again with the weather. Bit of turbulance
and flew into some thick cloud but Chris
assured me he could see where he was
