I think that was the title of an old Alfred Hitchcock movie but unfortunately Cary Grant doesn't feature in our write up and the plot didn't involve Greyhound rescuing!!!

Scout more silly ears!

After a non starter on Thursday due to the abominable weather Mal was once again up in the sky to collect number 15 and 16 of this year. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for what was to be a long journey. Scout needed to be collected from Hall Green, Birmingham, then it was back down to Essex to pick up Woody. Next stop was Guernsey where Scout was to take up residence with Catriona and John then back to Jersey to deliver Woody to Dawn, Mark, Georgia and Ethan.

Woody - this silly ears syndrome seems to be catching!

Ian volunteer from Romford RGT and Chris our pilot with Scout and Woody just waiting to board the plane to take them to their families and their new lives

Scout meets Catriona, John and Nadine who are to be his new family

There was quite a gathering at Guernsey airport to welcome Scout,Gill, Andy who kindly did the home check for us, long term owners Mick and Jean with the beautiful Amber and of course Scout's new mum and dad John and Catriona.

Is this a happy family or what Dawn, Mark, Ethan, Georgia and new family member Woody

So there you have it two more dogs grace our shores and learn what it is like to have a life after racing I often wonder what goes on in their little minds when all of a sudden they are taken from kennels and placed in a home where they are loved and cared for.

So once again it's thank you time. Without the help of Pat Chan, Ian at Romford and of course Chris and his little blue and white plane we would not be able to successfully bring these dogs over so as always our gratitude goes to them. Also to Andy in Guernsey who carries out our home checks and also Mick who keeps us posted with news from Guernsey and of course that never ending supply of books!
