  MERLIN'S LEGACY

The beautiful Merlin

Back in July 2012 a lovely lady called Catherine took on an 8 year old beauty called Merlin. A lady on her own, with family all grown up with families of their own,she was thrilled with this boy and they soon formed a strong bond. So when earlier this year Merlin developed a limp Catherine had him straight to the vets only to receive the devasting news that he had a bone cancer. So at two months off his tenth birthday on the 29th May Merlin had to leave for Rainbow Bridge. Catherine had had him just under two years.

Not being able to cope with the big gap he left in her life she asked that we find her another dog and today Barney hopefully will do just that.

What a happy face Barney at the Aero Club

Barney is a medium sized blue boy who will be 5 in October. Once again this is a rescue from Sharon at Brambleberry Retired Greyhound Trust kennels. He didn't do a massive amount of races (32 at Oxford) but took with an injury and was retired. He has been waiting for a home for a few months but in this time has been quite a favourite of Sharon's.

He seemed very pleased to meet his new owner and seems such a friendly boy and Catherine was over the moon with him.

Our thanks once again to Chris our pilot and Sharon for bringing him down to Cranford must be a very familiar route for her now.

Both Catherine and I agreed that Merlin would approve and would be looking down to see what he gets up to.
