NO MARCH WINDS FOR THIS TRIP

Well what a beautiful windless day for the collection of two new dogs for homes in Jersey.

Firstly we have Luna a little white and black bitch whose brother Buddy (previously Ace) was homed by us in Guernsey last year. These siblings thought the race course was for 'mucking about on' so their careers never took off. Little Luna has been waiting around in kennels but today is her day. She won't be on her own as she is going to live with Matthew, Hannah and greyhound Monty who came to Jersey last year and is just a baby himself. He has had a couple of 'room mates' as Matt and Hannah have fostered for Alison (Jersey Dogs) but he now has a permanent pal (don't think he knows yet so mums the word!!!). Luna will be a very lucky girl as not only will she have a very handsome fella but more to the point a huge field for racing and chasing in which is what she reckons she was put on this earth for but not round a track!!!!

Then we have a big blue boy, unfortunately he will have to stay at the Hickmott hotel until Friday as due to committments he cannot go to his home until then. So, bless him, he is in for a shock when he meets the gang! He too thought this racing lark was a pain and also refused to do it so needless to say Luna and he will be discussing what tactics they used to get out of it. Apparently he likes water - and takes great pleasure in tipping his water bowl (do like a dog with personality!!) might not be saying that if he floods the kitchen tonight!!!! We are not sure what David and Kinga are going to call this guy yet his racing name was Baz Blue.

Both got back safely at about 3ish, Sharon hasn't been well so Joe brought them both down from Brambleberry kennels thanks both. Then our wonderful man at the wheel, oh not a wheel is it, at the controls, made a pleasant flight for all, thanks Chris. Same time same channel is a couple of weeks hopefully when we have two arrivals for Guernsey.
