AIN'T NOTHING BUT A HOUND DOG
We welcome our very
own Hound Dog Elvis.
Elvis was born in
Ireland on the 15th August 2012 with a
racing name of Indalo Force. He was sent
to Peterborough in England to start his
career which was very short lived.
After six races he
suffered a bad knock and thereinafter
refused to race again so at not even two
his racing days were over.
Julie with her
girls Cara and Eve and friend Grace
In Jersey, Julie
and Phil and the girls were grieving over
the premature loss of Ozzy a big black
boy they had had for four years. He just
took poorly and within two days they had
to let him go, so although this is a
happy day for the family it is also quite
emotional as Elvis is also a black boy
albeit not a big as Ozzy.
Well the trip was
going according to plan until they tried
to land in Alderney to drop the Deerhound
pup off - Alderney, well it was closed!!!
low cloud making it unable to land. Had I
not mentioned the pup, well Titus is 12
weeks old and we were helping Elizabeth
out by dropping him off.
Elvis with her
travelling companion Titus the 12 week
Anyway it was not
to be so when Elvis was delivered safe
and sound to his new mum Titus has to
come and spend the night with all of us.
Thankfully, well I say that with tongue
in cheek, as I would have loved to have
kept him, Alan managed to get Mal and pup
off to his new home at about 9.30am on
Just had a lovely
report from Julie and the girls, Elvis is
doing fine, bit restless last night but
Julie slept downstairs with him. He is
very inquisitive and has had a couple of
mad moments and last I heard he was
asleep on the sofa. He is nothing like
Ozzy other than being black.
So another trip
done and dusted and once again our thanks
to Sharon from Brambleberry not only for
finding Elvis but for bringing him down.
Unfortunately Chris our usual pilot is
out of action at the moment bit
radioactive I believe, so our sincere
thanks go to Alan Nutbrown who helped us
out with a trip that proved longer than
