  GUERNSEY 1 - JERSEY 1

Thankfully the wind died down and the rain stopped long enough for Mal to get probably the last two homings of the year safely over.

Travelling companions Ceilidh and Ace

Introducing Ace a black and white youngster. At just 16 months old, this lad decided that racing was a mugs game and point blankly refused to do it.

He was born in Ireland but was brought over from there to trial in England. Apparently his sister decided that racing was not for her either, so Ace has just been in kennels all his life.

He is going to live in Guernsey with Ben Emma and their family and hopefully at such a young age will forget his previous life.

Then we have little Lady Bexhill to be known as Ceilidh. We haven't a lot of info on this 7 1/2 year old other than it appears she didn't race but was used to breed from she had one little in Jan 2012 (2 pups) and another in January 2013 (1 pup) dreadful so close together and such small litters would tell you that it shouldn't have been happening.

She is going to Trevor who has had two of our greyhounds, both bitches both brindle and this latest one is no exeption. Trevor lost his last girl on the 9th October and just knew there is no life without a greyhound!! We hope she will live up to the reputation of Sally Ann and Ceilidh, yep the new one will be Ceilidh (2).

Refus and Ceilidh just arrived at the Aero Club

Joining Ceilidh on her trip back from Guernsey will be Rufus. He is a brindle boy 7 years of age. We homed him 6 years ago when the owner's circumstances were very much different to what they are now. Having had to move and return to work, Rufus has not adapted and he is trashing and messing. We think this is seperation anixety and we are hoping that when he has our gang for company and indeed ourselves he will be a happy boy once again. So welcome Rufus to the Sanctuary.

Refus making himself comfortable at the Aero Club

I think that is all for now, we must welcome Chris our pilot back and are pleased to say he is in good health and was signed back on Friday. Saturday he did a trip, nothing like getting back into the swing of it! Also Sharon from Brambleberry kennels, yep once again she has come up trumps for us - thanks both of you.
